DL-Tartaric Acid as a colorless crystal or white crystalline powder, odorless, sour taste, stable in air. Widely used in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, light industry, mainly for the manufacture of tartaric acid salts. Tartaric acid is widely used as acidulant in beverage, and other foods, such as soft drinks, wine, candy, bread and some colloidal sweetmeats.
