Fumaric acid

Fumaric acid is a white crystalline powder and has a fruit-like taste. It's salts and esters of fumaric acid are known as fumarates.

Uses: Treatment of psoriasis, an acidulent in food, a substitute for tartaric acid or citric acid. As an antioxidant, mordant in dyeing, synthetic resins, in beverages & baking powders.
